The renewal of the entire Porsche Panamera family was planned and took place exactly as planned by the manufacturer. The second generation Porsche Panamera underwent an update 4 years later, after the official show in 2016. According to representatives of the company, all modifications without exception (fastback, station wagon and long wheelbase version) fell under the planned update. Most of the updates fell on the technical part of the model, but there are also design improvements.

There are no improvements in the front, but the rear of the updated Porsche Panamera received a block of stops stretched over the entire width of the rear. At the heart of the novelty are now 20 ″ or 21 ″ alloy wheels, and two palettes appeared in the list of body shades: cherry and brown. If we talk about the interior, then there are practically no changes, only the steering wheel has been modified.

Another plus is that the second generation Porsche Panamera now has a Turbo S modification, which replaced the Turbo configuration. Nevertheless, the novelty did not receive any special technical improvements. Fasbek received a turbocharged V8 engine with a volume of 4.0 liters. The power of the unit was increased to 630 horses, and the maximum torque is now 820 Nm.

According to the manufacturer, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.1 seconds, while the maximum speed is programmatically limited to 315 km / h. The Turbo S also received a retuned air suspension, adjustable shock absorbers, a modified stabilization system and a torque distribution system.

Below the step in the Porsche Panamera is the GTS modification. Under the hood is a 4.0-liter V8 engine with 480 horsepower. Compared to the version before the update, the car gained 20 hp. On the other hand, the torque did not change and remained at around 620 Nm. The highlight of the Porsche Panamera GTS package is a new exhaust system, it emits a very interesting and unusual engine sound.

As for the base Panamera and Panamera 4, now under the hood of these modifications is a petrol V6 with a volume of 2.9 liters. The power of such a unit is 330 horses and 450 Nm of torque. In fact, its capacity is similar to the previous unit, with a volume of 3.0 liters. Until the last moment, the most interesting was the new modification of the 4S E-Hybrid. Hidden under the hood is a hybrid setup.

It includes a gasoline turbocharged 6-ka, volume of 2.9 liters and an electric motor. The power of the gasoline plant is 440 horses, and the electric motor is 136 hp. The total power, according to the manufacturer, is 560 horses and 750 Nm of torque. In tandem, an 8-speed PDK robotic transmission is installed. Thanks to the Sport Chrono Package, the hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 298 km / h. If you believe the WLTP standard, or rather measurements, then the new hybrid Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid will be able to drive up to 54 km on one electric traction.

The variety of bodies has changed a bit. So the new modification Turbo S and 4S E-Hybrid will be available in 3 body styles. As for the equipment of the Panamera GTS, here, as before, only 2 bodies are available. Whatever the experts say, the updated Porsche Panamera can be distinguished by its appearance. The Turbo S modification has got enlarged front air intakes, as well as a couple of other exclusive parts. The basic version of the GTS is equipped with tinted taillights. The pricing policy has also changed, so the basic configuration of the Porsche Panamera with rear wheel drive will cost from 91,350 euros, the all-wheel drive Porsche Panamera 4 from 95,290 euros, but the charged Turbo S version starts from 179,740 euros.
