If you want something active, modern, but you don't want to change from a domestic car, then the new Lada Granta Drive Active is an ideal solution. Such inscriptions have recently appeared on the Internet. The new Lada Granta Drive Active sports sedan was officially presented on August 23, 2019. Considering that the novelty is only a facelifted ordinary Grant, one should not expect any special sports characteristics from it.
Under the hood of the sedan is a well-known 16-valve gasoline engine with a volume of 1.6 liters. A 5-speed mechanic works in a pair. Such a set will cost 629,900 rubles. If the mechanic is replaced with a 5-speed automatic transmission, then such a set will cost from 654,900 rubles. Thus, it turns out that the Drive Active sports sedan turned out to be two pedals more expensive than the top-end conventional sedan with a hydromechanical 4-speed automatic transmission from Jatco. For comparison, the price of such a top sedan is 634,800 rubles.
If you take a good look at the new Lada Granta Drive Active and disassemble it for parts and equipment, it becomes clear that this is essentially the Comfort equipment of a regular sedan. Drive Active includes two airbags, heated front seats, air conditioning, heating and electric adjustment of the side mirrors, as well as a 4-speaker audio system. Thus, it turns out that the mark-up only for the Drive Active plastic body kit from 28 different parts is 88,400 rubles. The same amount includes a specially tuned short-stroke suspension Lada Sport. Due to this, the car rolls less in corners, and also reacts better to steering. Externally, the new Lada Granta Drive Active is distinguished by an original aerodynamic body kit, modern 15 ″ alloy wheels and a sports exhaust pipe, which was literally taken from Lada Vesta Sport ... Inside, the new Granta Drive Active received sports seats with red accents. The same red stitching throughout the cabin, including on the steering wheel, gearshift knob and, in addition, the instrument lighting is also red.
This whole set is underlined by plastic inserts around the perimeter of the cabin, made of carbon look. One place where AvtoVAZ designers miscalculated is pedals, often there are also carbon or aluminum pads, but they decided to install ordinary pedals in Drive Active. Therefore, the buyer will need to add all kinds of trinkets to compensate for this shortcoming.
It can be said with a high probability that the new Lada Granta Drive Active will not be particularly popular. On the other hand, it is an ideal replacement for the understated Priors or the tuned conventional Grant trim levels. Moreover, this model can be refined without borders, as they say, as long as imagination is enough. It remains to be seen when the first models will appear on the roads of Russia.
