In the coming months, Ukraine plans to introduce a system of automatic recording of traffic violations with cameras that will be located along public roads.

According to information from Konstantin Bushuev, who holds the post of deputy head of the National Police, the first cameras will be installed in 1-1.5 months. It is assumed that cameras will be engaged in fixing the most common offenses, namely: exceeding the speed limit, driving at a red traffic light, improper parking, driving on sidewalks, violation of road markings while driving (crossing a solid, double solid line), as well as driving on At the same time, Bushuev emphasized that this is only the first stage in the implementation of automatic systems for recording offenses on public roads in Ukraine. In the future, the list of offenses will be supplemented. So, for example, modern systems do not have any difficulty in fixing the fact that a motorist does not provide an advantage to a pedestrian when the latter moves along a crossing, as well as a number of other violations.

Fines for recorded offenses will be sent to car owners by mail, non-payment of which may lead to litigation, as well as, in some cases, to the deprivation of a driver's license. Note that such systems for recording offenses on the road have existed for many years in most European countries, and during this time they were able to prove their effectiveness.
