The car easily overcomes our national off-road, and the spacious trunk is suitable for a large amount of luggage, sports equipment and garden tools. Its declared 400 liters of luggage volume after removing the rear parcel shelf is increased by another 100 liters.
Elegant but simple interior and exterior, climate control, ABS, maneuverability and stability on the road made Kalina a very frequent guest on Russian highways.
3. KIA Ceed SW
The Korean car industry has been leading the consumer ratings of different countries for many years, and it did not leave indifferent Russian motorists either.
The stiffer body has lost its heavyweight elements, gaining greater dynamism. Rear pillars, sill lines, expressive headlights give the model even a sporty look, equating it with the 5-door hatchback of the same name. This car was created for older people who care about details. Therefore, the external and internal appearance was approached with greater care and attention. A high-quality interior, a 528-liter trunk, functional luggage rails and additional compartments under the raised floor, excellent sound insulation make the model very practical and comfortable.
The electronic filling is also impressive: an assistant when descending from a mountain, an electric parking brake, parking sensors and a set of steering modes. A very quiet, not gluttonous 129-horsepower engine is paired with a manual gearbox and accelerates the car to 100 km in 11 seconds. Competent suspension makes it possible to move on light off-road. In addition, this model is completely unafraid of wet roads and ice, showing miracles of stability.
The main advantage of this station wagon is cost. For the top version, you will have to pay a little more than 900 thousand rubles, which is one of the lowest prices in this segment. At the same time, the car owner will receive a really good car, reliable, equipped with a decent level of options and very budgetary in service.
4. Ford Focus
More than a quarter of all Ford cars purchased by Russian car enthusiasts in 2016 came from a 105-horsepower 1.6-liter station wagon.
It is the absolute embodiment of a family car, comfortable, stylish and reliable. Different configurations offer a different choice of functions - 2-zone climate control, movement assistants, cruise control.

5. Hyundai i40
It is surprising that a far from budget Korean worth over a million rubles enjoys such love among Russian motorists.

6. Skoda Octavia Combi

For Russian motorists, the only version is available with a 1.6-liter 130-horsepower gasoline engine that develops a speed of 192 km / h and is aggregated with a 6-speed automatic or mechanics of your choice. In city mode, a very smoothly running engine consumes about 6.9 liters per 100 km. On rough roads, the car is pleasantly pleasing with confident stability and noiselessness.
8. Skoda Superb
The car is more and more reoriented from the older generation to the youth, making it lighter and more stylish, and wider proportions give it harmony.
The car strikes with a luggage compartment, which can be opened with a foot, passing it under the bumper, and place loads up to 3 meters long. The station wagon is supplied to Russia only with a gasoline engine due to the poor quality of our diesel engine. For its body type, it is a very compact model - only 4 meters long. At the same time, the folded rear seats provide a space of 1,164 liters. With the model, only gasoline engines of 1.2 l, 1.4 l, and 1.6 l 85 and 105-horsepower go to Russia, the price of which varies between 600-730 thousand rubles.
Decent steering, high-quality suspension, ESP testify to more than good road performance of the car.
The developers did not guess with the dashboard, whose cheap plastic, motley elements and incompatible colors make an ambiguous impression.
10. Opel Astra Family
The venerable German Opel closes the list. General Motors has left behind the model the traditional German build quality, excellent technical characteristics and an affordable price. All this together provides the car with a stable consumer interest.
The model's belonging to the C-class obviously gives it advantages that are not available to all other participants in the rating - pure representatives of segment B. These include:
- huge salon;
- no less huge trunk, into which even a refrigerator with an abundance of devices for convenient cargo securing can easily enter;
- reliable suspension, passed many test drives and proven over the years;
- economical German engine;
- increased wheels and ground clearance, adapted specifically for Russian conditions.
The driving performance is indicated by a 4-cylinder 140-horsepower engine, which consumes about 10 liters per 100 kilometers in city mode.
