The official presentation of the new Citroen C4 took place in the summer of 2020. In comparison with the previous generation, the novelty has received a more recognizable crossover look. The hatchback Citroen C4 Cactus was discontinued in 2018, but no matter how the manufacturer refined the design, the car remained a hatchback, which cannot be said about the new hatchback-crossover Citroen C4 2021. The novelty has become longer in terms of wheelbase, the ground clearance is 156 mm.

On the Ukrainian market, buyers were simultaneously offered three complete sets of Citroen C4 2021: Live, Feel and Shine. As for the modifications of the novelty, there will be 6 different options in total. Depending on the selected version of the Citroen C4 2021, there may be a gasoline or diesel engine under the hood. The 1.2-liter PureTech family petrol engine will be able to deliver 100 or 155 hp. and 205 or 240 Nm of torque, respectively.
The 1.5-liter BlueHDi diesel engine will deliver 130 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. There is no less variety in the transmission. The weakest PureTech was equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, the 155-horsepower engine received an 8-speed automatic transmission. Regarding the diesel unit Citroen C4 2021, only an 8-speed automatic will be paired.

Nevertheless, the interest remains in what the new configurations of the Citroen C4 2021 differ from each other, if you do not take into account the technical characteristics. The first on the list is the Citroen C4 Live, which is also the basic one. The list of this configuration includes:
- air conditioning;
- front and side airbags;
- updated cruise control and ABS + ESP;
- curtains and rain sensor;
- LED running lights;
- heated front seats;
- multimedia system with 5 ″ display;
- Bluetooth and RCE audio system;
- fabric upholstery of seats.
Citroen C4 Feel 2021 has become more modern. The car received climate control instead of air conditioning, an electromechanical handbrake, a rear view camera and a 10 ″ touchscreen display of the multimedia system. Instead of the usual halogen optics, the Citroen C4 Feel received LED optics of the ECO LED family.
At the base, 17 ″ alloy wheels are now installed. If this is not enough, then for a separate surcharge, they offer to personalize the car using the Glossy Black package. The pillars, mirror housings, individual body elements and the interior will be painted black.
For a snack, there was the Citroen C4 Shine 2021, which is also top-end. The manufacturer included a security package from:
- modified adaptive cruise control;
- emergency automatic braking mechanism;
- traffic sign recognition system;
- blind spot monitoring and driver status control;
- adaptive front optics (automatic switching of high and low beam);
- keeping the car on the lane.
In addition to the listed security systems and all the advantages of previous trim levels, the new Citroen C4 Shine 2021 included heated rear seats, Start / Stop engine from a button, a special holder for tablets of different sizes, parking sensors in front and rear. To somehow highlight the car, the buyer is offered a Textured Gray package (for external personalization, where many elements will be textured and made in gray). If this is not enough, then for a separate surcharge they will offer the HIA system (Highway Integrated Assist - semi-automatic control), a modern panoramic sunroof and leather-trimmed seats. In this case, the seats will already be sporty without separate head restraints.
